Are you a home based company ?
No, we have our office in the Aventura area in Miami, FL, although we allow our people to telecommute and work from home. It is the wave of the future; many large companies like Dell and IBM have many employees working from home to save time and money.
How long have you been in business ?
We started in mid 2001 and organized our business as a Limited Liability Company in January 2002.
How many people work at Active Filings ?
We total all of 10 people, 3 in operations (Cynthia, John and Max), 2 in Systems (John and Ileana), 1 in administration (Jeanette), 1 in Internet Marketing (Oscar) and 3 (Robert, Nina and Stephanie), providing customer support and helping the entire staff.
Do you belong to a big corporation ?
No, we are an independent company, which means that we don't carry extra overhead and we make it a company rule to not share ANY clients’ information with a third party.
What plans do you have for the future ?
Our experience in eFilings and our systems will allow us to become a main e-filings provider, having as regular and natural customers, official agencies (Secretary of States, Revenue Departments, Labor Departments, County offices, etc) and many private institutions. We are also developing many new services where we can put the power and our technology to work for our customers.
Are you profitable ?
Yes, and we are very proud of this!
How do you manage to provide a service that is cheaper than most of your competitors ?
We do not carry heavy overhead and expensive offices. We invested more than $300,000 in software development (and we continue to do so) that allow us not only to automate a big part or the incorporation process but also to work from different locations. Most of our people work from their homes, in an efficient and paper-less environment. We believe that our prices are best for both our clients and us. Our pricing structure reflex’s our high degree of automation and a fair but small mark up.
How do you achieve top search engine positions?
This is another reason our prices are lower than most of our competitors. We have chosen a different path in order to get closer to the market and our new customers, but of course, we can not disclose our strategy completely here.
How can we make sure that you are not going to "fly" with my money ?
Well, to us, our reputation is everything and we expect that you trust in Active Filings based on our affiliations as members of organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, The US Chamber of Commerce, endorsements from the IRS and our many business partners. Our business ethic is an important value that has helped us to achieve more than customers, but longtime friends.
