ACTIVE FILINGS UNVEILS ITS 2007' TOP PERFORMERS STATISTICS
Hollywood, FL. February 13th, 2008. Active Filings made public its Ranking for states with highest level of start ups (business formation) in 2007.Known as “The Active Filings’ Top 10 Most Entrepreneurial States, 2007 Edition”
2007 was not a sought-after year for American entrepreneurs, and so far it’s been cataloged as the year with the lowest level of business formations in the last 5 years.
In spite of the decline, our ranking continues to show a similar pattern from previous years, which demonstrates that 80% of the business formations took place in only 28% of the States. The same relation for 2006 shows a proportion of 81:32, meaning that 81% of new businesses were registered in 32% of the states.
The above table illustrates the level of efficiency of the 10 most active states when it comes to business formations. This pattern, where the coastal states are predominant, is similar to that observed in previous years.
Save for some exceptions, the table also shows that the same states have been in the top 10 for a long time. Moreover, 2007 reaffirmed a tendency we have observed in the last 5 years: Florida continues to rank #1 in our top 10 for the 5th consecutive year, and it has maintained great advantage over the second and third ranked states.
A more in depth study, considering demographic factors will reveal the reasons why some states generate more entrepreneurship than others, but that will be for the specialists to determine.

ACTIVE FILINGS ANNOUNCES PRICE REDUCTION
Hollywood, FL. Feb 1st, 2008.- Active Filings LLC based in the City of Hollywood, FL announced this morning its decision to reduce most of the prices of its products and services.
American Entrepreneurs are facing hard times due to the slowdown of the economy, and we, as entrepreneurs ourselves, know that any help at the time of starting a new venture is always needed. We have been though this and we know that every penny counts.
After having performed a deep analysis of our costs, and having adjusted ourselves to the new economic reality, we decided to reduce our fees as follows:
Essential Plan: From $169.00 to $149.00
Full Plan: From $419.00 to $399.00
Corporate Kits: an average of $ 10.00 of reduction
Certificates of Status: From $129.00 to $ 119.00
Expedited Service Fee: From $99.00 to $89.00
This price reduction will be effective immediately. Customers with pending orders (incomplete orders) will be charged according to the new schedule for each state.
Active Filings Celebrating Its 7th Anniversary
Hollywood, FL, January 2nd 2008.- Active Filings LLC is celebrating its 7th anniversary. We started with only $1,000 in sales our first month to what we are doing now; it has been a long road, and we are very proud.
In June 2001, two entrepreneurs decided to join efforts and start offering incorporation services with a “human touch”. As a CPA, Nina Birnbach, Active Filings' VP, knew about the needs of business owners in terms of support. On the other hand, Robert Neuberger had been a “victim” of other incorporating companies in the past, so the idea of a service based on technology but powered by people, started to form and they took off together with Active Filings.
Seven years later and after having thousands of companies "born" from the efforts of Active Filings, we can say with conviction, we were not wrong when we decided that old fashioned customer care was the right approach.
"When I incorporated my first business, a long time ago, I placed my order with a company that boasted of 100 years of incorporation experience, I have since I lost all contact with them. 30 days later –in spite of having paid for expedited service- I received my papers and a form I paid $25.00 for, only to find out it was a simple SS4 form that you can get for free on the IRS website” remembers Robert Neuberger, current President and CEO of Active Filings LLC.
The other big issue with some of the established competitors was the fact that none of them were showing the true state fees. It was obvious that they were playing on the lack of knowledge of people and making extra money by deceitfully increasing these fees. This was an important point in our original strategy which was to charge exact state fees and to show our customers the receipt from the state.
“Providing the receipt from the state is how we show our customers that we are taking care of their money and we are able to prove it” says Ms. Birnbach.
Active Filings started with 2 people and now we have 7 employees. Additionally, we own and manage our own technology from hardware to software. We have “in house” programmers, webmaster and designer, and our constant developments is allowing us to become an important player in the e-filing market.
Our premise is old fashioned but remains the same; “you could do business and be honest at the same time”. After 7 years, our record with the Better Business Bureau is spotless. We have never received a complaint about our work.
Active Filings was able to achieve a great success doing business in a highly competitive market where differentiation was a big problem. Each day more and more companies start and close but in the end, there are no more than ten who are serious players in our field. Additionally, we at Active Filings are happy to report, we are one of the few incorporation companies that remain independent, without having to report to investors or holding corporations.
