Pennsylvania Advertising Requirements for Corporations, Nonprofit Corporations and Limited Liability Companies

publishing requirements for corporations and llc
Active Filings provides legal publishing services in selected states.

Publication of either the intent to file or the actual filing of Articles of Incorporation must be made in two newspapers of general circulation, one a legal journal, if possible.

Proof of advertising is not required to be sent to the Corporation Bureau but should be filed with the minutes of the corporation.

The ads must contain the name of the proposed corporation and a statement that the corporation is to be or has been organized under the provisions of the BCL of 1988.

We suggest you to do the following:

1) Select two newspapers: one of general circulation and one legal journal. This one should be your county legal journal.

2) Contact the newspapers to find out their prices and if they offer a form for you to fill out.

3) If this option is not on the newspaper form, remember to request them proof of publication.

If you have questions regarding this requirement, please contact the PA Department of State by phone to (717) 787-1057 or (888) 659-9962. You can also send them an email to RA-CORPS@state.pa.us
