Business Pitch Competition for Nevada Startups

For the first time in Las Vegas, the Governor’s Conference on Business 2016 is hosting a statewide Business Pitch Competition. Nevada-based startups from any industry, in operation for two years or less with annual revenues under $250,000 are welcome to apply!

The 5th annual Governor’s Conference on Business, hosted by the State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry on September 30 at the Rio Convention Center, is a comprehensive business resource and networking event designed for businesses looking to grow or expand, and entrepreneurs seeking to launch a new venture. Conference participants will have access to 100+ business service providers, funders, development authorities, government entities and B2B companies at the Business Resource Expo.

Networking opportunities are available throughout the morning. For the first time in Las Vegas, a business pitch competition will be held. The conference will conclude with a luncheon featuring a special guest speakers from Switch and a keynote address by Governor Brian Sandoval. Conference attendee tickets are $50 in advance. Applications will be scored by a panel of judges and ten finalists will be selected to make a 2 minute live pitch at the conference on September 30. Thanks to pitch competition sponsors AT&T, Microsoft and Vast, cash and prizes totaling $23,500 will be awarded to the winning companies at the conference luncheon.
