New Hampshire entrepreneurs getting free financial help from UNH

The University of New Hampshire’s Small Business Development Center has launched a new online course to help area entrepreneurs get the financing help they need to create a corporation.

The center says the 90-minute course – called Financing a Business in NH – will help entrepreneurs “navigate the maze of funding options available in the state,” and can be taken either all at once or over time. The program was developed with the support of the Community Bankers Association of New Hampshire.

“The Small Business Development Center does an excellent job in assisting our small businesses, which are the backbone of our economy. This new online course is another way the center is working to provide the assistance businesses and entrepreneurs need to be successful here in New Hampshire,” said the state’s governor, John Lynch.

The new course is being offered in addition to the SBDC’s 23 other courses, which include management and marketing. Officials say that small business owners and entrepreneurs have taken more than 2,000 online courses since the program began in 2008.
